The Music Vault is a Christian/Positive influence heavy music database. This system was designed and developed by solid and its content is managed by a team of people known as Vault Managers.
It has been online since 2002, though a large portion of its data was lost in 2006. We work very hard to continually update and manage the vault so that it can stay up-to-date. If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to use the form at the bottom of any page in the Vault. Thanks!
Welcome to the Firestream Music Vault, a large database of Christian Rock and Metal Albums. There are thousands of bands and albums in this system complete with ratings and comments by members. Most albums have lyrics and tablature available as well. The Firestream Music Vault is organized and kept up by a group of Vault Managers on a daily basis. Create an account and browse around, there's a lot you can do here.
On 11/18/2008 12:12:20 pm by MetalFRO Sort of an interesting industrialized grinding deathcore sound here. "Spit" has a very brief sample of a Circle of Dust song in the intro, which is cool. Vocals range from barely discernible ultra-low growls to artificially distorted screams and various yells. If Impending Doom's "The Sin and Doom of Godless Men" EP was put through a blender w/ a dash of industrial & the songs made even shorter, it might sound like this. A cool debut w/ very hard-hitting and honest lyrics from frontman K.O.
On 11/18/2008 11:17:03 am by MetalFRO I'll write up my thoughts on the album proper in the regular album's listing, but I wanted to comment on the bonus material here. "Sex Rant Intro" is a bold statement by Doug about purity, and is a welcome addition. "Finger" is (as far as I'm aware) not available anywhere else, and signals the heavier, more metal-oriented direction the band was taking when they broke up. Lots of double-bass, and low-end heavy riffing here. "Mrs. Lowry (live)" is a fun tribute to Paul Q-Pek. Having "This Is a Condom Nation" available on CD, AND in stereo is a nice treat, especially for those of us who didn't get the original cassette the first time around. Of course, some of the tracks were re-recorded for "We Are Not Ashamed" but there are some subtle differences between these tracks and the WANA versions, namely that the TIaCN versions are much more "loose" than the more controlled versions on WANA. Of course, that might warrant some to say the TIaCN versions are more "punk", but I prefer the WANA versions for their polish. The production on these tracks is surprisingly good for an indie 1988 demo recording.
The radio spot is a nice touch, though it would have been nice to hear a slightly better transfer of it, but it's cool to hear that they actually had something on the air. The commentary tracks are funny, and provide a good amount of information about the history of the group, which is cool since there's so much conflicting info & rumors that have flown around about the band over the years. The karaoke versions of the songs are fun as well - I wish more bands would do that w/ their material, by allowing bonus tracks of songs w/o the lyrics so fans can sing along, or for ballads especially so those of us who are vocally gifted could use then as backing tracks to sing in church with. All in all, a stellar re-issue of this great album. The ONLY disappointment for me is that the WANA version of "You Make Me Puke" does not have the dialog intro that precedes the song on the original release - I always get a laugh out of that. Otherwise, if you didn't get the original the first time around, or don't want to pay high prices for it now as a collectible, this is a MUST for both Lust Control fans and Christian punk fans in general.
On 11/18/2008 9:59:35 am by oldschooldoom As usual, I will take a different approach to this review than every one else. Completely forget this is the Saint we all know and love. Take this out for another spin, open your mind, and you might agree this is not half bad. Pretend for 30 minutes that this is some brand new non-metal band. There are some catchy tunes in here. I think the title track is wonderful. It is stuck in my head all day and probably has their most Godly/encouraging lyrics.
True, Just not up to par with other Saint material. Experimentation can be risky.
On 11/18/2008 9:26:10 am by BrianMadsen i received my copy today, and the biggest surprise is that the album is still sealed with the original plastic wrapping! anyone knows how many of this version there is?
On 11/17/2008 4:16:36 pm by oldschooldoom Christian musics answer to early Quiet Riot(Kevin DuBrow) with a twist of Alice Cooper. The music pounds like Tyton-Mind Over Metal. Just wish there was more spiritual lyrics.

On 2008-11-07 16:10:16 by cawood777 The band that made the Looking for Love CD were from Ohio. The band disbanded in 1994. The album listed as "Food For Thought" are another band with the same name and I'm not sure where they're from. The band in Ohio did do another album in 1991 called Winter Solstice but it was released in their local area (Chillicothe) in cassette tape format only. They also did several other recordings of some of their other material but it was never released.
