Christian or no?

I haven't really had any time to "study" the lyrics very much as I've just downloaded some stuff.

Just wondering.

Thanks

Not that i know of. JESU is the brainchild of Justin Broadrick a former member of both NAPALM DEATH and GODFLESH.

Jesu isn't a Christian band. It's a magnificent project though. This does more for my spirit than most Christian music can.

Just for the record, generally in postrock, lyrics aren't important at all. That's why none of their albums have lyrics. Many of the bands don't even have vocals, and those that do usually use the voice as an instrument rather than a propaganda machine. It's more about the tenor of the voice, the sound. Jesu is the latter.

Well, in this thread, both the words "wonderful" and "magnificent" have been used, so I think your answer is there.

They kind of remind me of a slow motion Ocean Machine. Pure droning transcendence :headphones:

No, I remember reading that people shouldn't confuse the name with a Christian band in an issue of Metal Hammer. Hope that helps
