I ran across a non-corrupt backup of the original site this weekend. It was from May of 2006, but contained 577,000 posts! It has been restored as a searchable archive. There's a lot of discussion and some really good topics from the last 4 years. Most of the old band forums are still there also.

Check it out: http://www.firestream.net/archive/ (http://www.firestream.net/forum/../archive/)

Thanks Solid. man I miss it but the new one is better now IMO. You think Firestream 2.0 will be like the Firestream 1.0 one day?

Question to old Firestreamers Would you say from reading my posts then and reading my posts now that I've Matured alittle? (SuperKOTTMatt in old FS forum)

SWEET! That's so awesome solid! I was only on the old forum for like two days before it died, so it's cool to be able to go back to some of the threads that really got me interested in being here.

Wow, I never thought I'd get to see my old posts again. This is the forum I've made the most posts in, so I was totally bummed when I found out that everything was gone. I only made 84 posts on that, but that's quite a bit for me, heh.

In case anyone wants to reminisce, I have 2 screenshots of the old firestream: first one (http://www.shtuff.net/superdj/images/fs1.jpg) second one (http://www.shtuff.net/superdj/images/fs2.jpg)

Thanks, solid!

What year did Firestream get it's start. Was it called FS?

From what I've been told FS evolved out of the Tourniquet forum and the first incarnation dated back to about 1999, or something. This is what I've been told, but one of the old schoolers could give you the details or whatnot. I came here in '07. :p

William F. Almeida gave me a bit of the history, and I'm pretty sure he's been here since the very beginning. solid the admin, who is the man behind firestream, would know of the details as well. I'm sure if you make a thread about it in meangingful discussion or something a good ammount of the older users would come forward. So what I gave you is the basic history, the details to it as to why it broke off, the disagreements, and all the specific details regarding the forum is foreign to me.

Im a n old schooler and I know for sure!!
ok, so only half of that is true.
I do not know its true origins....somewhere in the tqt dz solid emerged, then FS.
