One of the best satirical bands I've ever seen. And their coustumes are great too. What say the rest of ye? :headbang:

I saw them when they opened up for the misfits a few years ago, and my appreciation for them greatly increased. I've never really been a fan of the music (hell-o is ok, so is scumdogs of the universe), but live they are just plain fun to watch. Don't get too close though, or you'll get doused with all sorts of purplish/red fluids.

saw them in `96 or `97. i was up front & it looked like a rainbow exploded on me. one of the best visual shows i`ve been to.

they wrire great songs as well.the road behind,maggots,america must be destroyed,penis i see.everything off of scumdogs and america must be destroyed is just classic.

Listening to Gwar is definitely a sonic assault. They are a tight band. A little too over the top for my personal tastes, but they are very good.

Gwar is dumb. And I have a story to go along with this.

My friend was at another concert at a metal festival that Gwar was also playing in. Some kid was nearby talking to his freind, and he said "I can't wait for Gwar to play". SO my friend punched him an disapeared into the mosh pit.

You mean shallow, full of promiscuity, a focus on image rather then talent and following trends/ going for shock value?

I mean, if you want to attribute that all to Gwar, go ahead.

gwar is a grat band.they are awesome players and write great songs.sure some of their content is goofy,but so what.thats the kind of band they are.
as far as a band that mixes punk and metal non does it better then gwar!
