What's your opinion on these guys? I've read that the were more than likely Germany's first thrash band. :headbang:

I actually was a big fan of DESTRUCTION as a teen. I had all their records on vinyl. I've never heard any of their stuff past "Cracked Brain," though. They were a very competent Thrash group for sure. Even though I haven't listened to them in years, I can hear their music playing in my mind as I type this...lol "Infernal Overkill" and "Eternal Devastation" were my favorites.

Wow, I would have LOVED to have seen the Cro-mags back in '89. I finally got to see them on their tour back in 99 or so, but it was dissapointing. Not all the original members, didn't play enough old songs, the usual stuff. Anyway, Destruction is great. Mad Butcher, eternal devastation, Sentence of Death, all the old stuff is GREAT! As far as the newer stuff, I only have "all hell breaks loose", and it's actually pretty good.

oh yeah, I had their first 5 or 6 albums back in the day. at the time back in 1985 or 86 they were considered death metal. obviously they would be/are considered thrash by todays standards but they were cutting edge death metal early on.

Eternal Devastation is probably their best studio album. Live Without Sense cd is also very good, their old tunes sound much stronger on it.

Yes, they are. Old and recent releases reveal such attitude.:(
