As part of an April Fools Joke, Firestream had a different front page that very much resembled Google.com's front page. The joke was that Firestream had entered the search business and was directly competing with Google. There's no way we'd ever do that, so to all that thought the change was real... APRIL FOOLS!!!
If you dug around on the front page there were a few things of interest:
Searches actually worked, but took you to Google. A popup box explained that although the page you were going to looked like Google, it really was Firestream
Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" button changed to "I'm Feeling Advantageous" and always sent you to RichardSimmons.com
Google.com has 3 links below their search box. These links on Firestream's version were changed and linked to different things.
"Ballyhooing Programs" sent you to FS's advertising page
"Business Quandaries" sent you to a picture of the evil monkey from Family Guy
"About Firestream" poped up a box explaining that Firestream was better than Google. Really.
A browser favicon was made to match the style of Google's. It might still be in the cache of your browser. For those of you that missed it, here is the April Fools front page:
