- CD input which allows you to play along to your favourite discs
- 6.5" custom-voiced speaker

Marshall MG Series Amplifiers utilise the latest innovations in solid-state and digital technologies (many developed for the critically acclaimed AVT range of amps), capturing the essence of the Marshall sound at affordable prices. At the heart of the MG Series is an extremely responsive power amp section featuring Marshall's proprietary FDD (Frequency Dependent Damping) circuitry that accurately mimics the interaction of an all-valve amp's power stage with the loudspeaker(s) it is driving. As a result, the MG amps respond and 'feel' more like valve amplifiers than others in this price range. Common features to all MG models are two channels (Clean & Overdrive), CD inputs, Emulated Line Outs and Emulated Headphone jacks. MG amps also feature Contour controls in their EQ networks that allow you to fine-tune those all-important mids - from a fat, 'woody' vintage sound to a modern, aggressive 'scoop' and all points in between. In addition, Marshall's custom-voiced effects that have been designed to eliminate the harsh-sounding, artificial 'grain' often associated with digital effects.

I got excited there for a sec. I am looking for a 3W battery operated amp. Marshall used to put out a really cute little one shaped like a stack! So I checked and 10W is still bigger than I need (we have children).

If you watch ebay you can get one of these at a reasonable price... I just got one for about 25... which is about 15 bucks off the normal in store price

ah, I have this amp. I wouldn't really recommend it. Right now I use my 30W and just put the volume not very loud. Does the same but with much better sound. The distortion that comes with the micro amp just sucks. It's useful though when you want to jam with friends for don't want to bring a bigger amp (although a 10W is easy to carry with you).

I just tried a new GDEC from Fender 15W that has a tuner, bass and drums, and it sounds OK soft, so I won't need a smaller one after all. It has hundreds of effects, but you are right that only the clean ones are any good.

Frost, thanks for the tip anyway. You've always got good advice. You da man!:)
