i recorded a song on my 4-track recorder, i wasnt trying to make this perfect, i just threw it together kinda. tell me what you think of it.

im aware of timing being off, and i only have a kareokee mic, so doing the drums was pretty hard. im looking at getting a 4 piece drum mic set, and some other goodies. i didnt really like how the guitars sound, or the bass, and i recorded right before i borrowed a sweet effects processor:(

I wonder how you define a "sweet effects processor?" You still won't be happy with the sound is all I'm saying.

With the guitar sound as is, this sounds more like surf rock than metal.

Also at the stage you're at, you are experiementing with how to record and even how to write and arrange a song. When I was at this point at age 14, we didn't have purevolume to throw our music up on, so I can't really relate. What I can say is I personally thnk that you have a lot of work ahead of you, but I commend you for putting your music out there for comments.

And before I would make any reccomendation at all as to how to make a better demo, I would ask what your goal with a demo is? Also I would say is this a four track cassette recorder, or digital? Because imho I would ditch the four track cassette.

yea, i know its still not going to be amazing, but its much better than just switching the amp to "dirty" and trying to get something out of that; whats wrong with surfer rock? haha. but yea, i dont even really like the song as a whole, anymore, and the transitions are crapola, but there is some parts i like, and when i eventually do it over again, half of it wont be in there. its not digital, and trust me, i would get something better if i had the money, im not trying to start a band going here, im just fooling around, and its good enough for me for now

thanks for the replys:D
