I need to figure out which tube combo amp to get

I am between these two amps or could there be another?
Crate V16 Palomino 15W Class A Tube Combo Amp $400

Fender Blues Junior Combo Amp $400
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-Blues-Junior-Combo-Amp?sku=480512

Is there any other class A tube combo amp with a single 10" or 12" speaker that has just as good as quality, and a little lighter on the pocket book? It will be used for worship services. Any thoughts or ideas?

Those two are about most affordable that there are, at least the decent ones anyway. Carvin has one that is about the same price that is 16 watts is Pentode mode, and 5 watts in Triode mode. It sounds really sweet, but it's the same price.

There's another option......There's also the Valve Junio head & 1x12 cab, it's only 5 watts, but it's class A and gets TON of great reviews from the guys who buy stuff like this to modify themselves......

That mostly depends on the size of the venue. I've seen gigs in small clubs that sounded great and all that was running through the PA was vocals, and acoustic rhythm guitars.

Okay its a hall for about 200 people, We have a bit of a problem becuase we have drums, bass, lead, 2x rhythm, flamenco, sax, trumpet, clarinet, persussion, piano/keyboard, two choir mikes, three solos but our soundboard cant handle that many connections:(

I dont know what to take through the board, and what to leave?

PLain and simple man, you really need a bigger baord to mic all tha correctly. UNtil then the best you can do is to try and put some of th instruments in groups where it would be practical.

That's a LOT of instrumentation though.

To be more specific a TUBE combo would be a TUBE amp that is a COMBO.

Tube amp = Analog/not solid state/valve/glowing glass bottles of joy

Combo = An amp that's built into a speaker cab so that it's all contained in one unit.

And back on topic: Nice amp edge. A bit on the expensive side for my tastes (not a huge fender fan, but can appreciate them for sure). I'm really in love with the epiphone valve jr head. 5 watts of bliss. Another amp I'm loving is the peavey windsor. That thing way more metal than people say. And it's price is unbeatable imo (though it's only one channel).

I'm still thinking my next amp will be the carvin V3. If I can't wait to save up the huge $1600 it's gonna cost me for the half stack I'll dull the addiction by buying an old carvin X100B for $300 or so.

But right now I'm really digging my church tone with my silvertone twin twleve + my backpack full of effects.

Well I will let out the facts. I had a POD 2.0, and I took it to Guitar Center. If you can believe it with that and all the extra stuff, I got $220 for it! Then I found that Hotrod, and I saw this amp and it was used, and they were selling it for 500. they took 50 off the top and I gave em 300 and I have a beautiful 2 year old Fender HotRod! The clean channel reminds me of the Matchless Chieftan

Todd I will have to record some clean songs with this and put it up on my lighter site! You would dig it man, with your clean stuff too! And yes they are easy to obtain, and when you do not have to rebias the amp makes life sooo much simpler!
